Glenn Spiegelman - Moon Images

NextUpPrevious

Every now and then I turn my telescope to the Moon instead of Deep Space Objects. Here are a few images that I took while doing that.

Crescent 1st Q - 1 day
1'st Quarter - 1 day
This image was taken April 8, 2003 -- I was setting up getting ready to do some deep-sky imaging. Since the sun had just set, and it was too bright to do deep-sky objects, I took two images of the moon -- this final image is a mosaic of the two images. Hard to believe that it is still daylight when this image was taken.

These two craters are to be found near the top of the image. Hercules is on the left, and Atlas is on the right.
